See Tuesday's report.
Hi from Booneville.
Tonight was the party sponsored by the winners of the 2002 National Open at the
Clubhouse. The party is in full swing and we snuck away to get this report
to you. We're sacrificing for the greater good.
We were too tired last night to give you the posted dogs. This is a
euphamism but we forgot to read the board. Posted on Monday were
Windagail's Last Trade and Tejas Iron Mike. Word has it he did a great
job.
Posted today were: Blueridge Major Adventure and Farther Out Ace.
Vic Carrington and Chad Holman each have 2 dogs posted.
One of the judges, new to Contintal breed trials, thinks our dog wagon is great.
Not used to large galleries and we have had several days with a full wagon and
pick up truck.
That's all follks............no real gossip to pass on.
Rheta & Joan
The news
of the day is: NO DOGS WERE POSTED!!!!
There were no birds in the AM braces and in the PM braces birds were found in
the first brace, Pistol Packin Walker having 2 finds; however the 1st find was
supposedly a divided find. The entire gallery, both horse and wagon were
back in camp by about 4 PM.
Weather was cloudy with some mist in the afternoon. We did have rain
during the night.
Day 4 will follow tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have more excitement to
report.
Joan & Rheta
Well, we had some excitement today. Apparently
the clouds brought out a few birds. The 2 dogs that were posted were Just Call
Me Roy and Keystone's Double Shot, both handled by Ben Lorensen.
We have 6 dogs posted with 3 handlers, 2 for each. Word is that these 2 dogs
did good and it has added a little excitement to this game we play.
Tomorrow we will have the final results for you but we have 6 full braces so it
will be late in the day when they finish. Haven't had any horse accidents this
week, no really bad weather days; we are doing well.
Joan
and Rheta
And
the placements are:
1st Farther Out Ace Holman
2nd Just Call Me Roy
Lorensen
3rd Windagail's Last Trade Holman
4th Kaystone's Double Shot Lorensen
Weather turned cold and windy. But we made it through for another year.
