No dogs ran on Monday due to weather.
Course has
been adjusted so that it more or less an out & back type course, utilizing much
of course 1 & course 3. They are releasing birds because the course is so
heavily used right now.
Morning was cancelled due to continued rain and
thunder.
By the afternoon, braces 1, 3 & 4 ran. While
there was no bridge crossing anymore, Ed "Coldwater" Tillson could have used a
bridge while running Twister Tuesday afternoon. His horse slipped in the creek
crossing, and he went under. The only thing that stayed above water was the
brim of his hat. Both he & horse seem to be ok, and he did win a special
judges award at the dinner last night.
Tuesday night Billy's Random Task handled by Chad
Holman in 4b was posted.
On a frosty 25 degree morning we ran braces 5, 6 & 7. The weather is
quickly warming as its 45 degrees now while brace
7 is still out.
Today two dogs were posted, NFC FC AFC Shambo's
Dark Shadow and DC TJ's Single Shot of Scipio. Shadow and Emme ran in the first
brace of the day with lots of bird work even in the heavy frost, multiple finds
and backs. The sun came out and it warmed up nicely, several other dogs had
birds as well.
Running today was delayed because of heavy fog
this morning. 5
braces were able to run. 11, 12 & 13 ran late in
the morning. then everyone came in and changed horses and went back out
immediately to make up for lost time. Braces 14 & 15 were able to run before
it got too dark.
Dogs posted today were Diamond Hill
Dan from 12a handled by John Kline, Just Call Me Roy from 11b handled by Ben
Lorenson and Smarteyes-Joker from 14b handled by Jim John.
